I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Melissa and I are going to have a girls' night. Oh yeah. Some face masks, maybe a little bit of hair dye... It'll be hott. That's right. Two t's for that shit.

Also, bandage adhesive makes my skin really fucking itchy. Grr...

Try taking the adhesive part of the bandage off with an alcohol prep pad if you have any. It will leave a lot of the skin and the hair and take most of the annoying stickiness with it. That might help with the itchiness too. Tamara

I suggest taking off the bandage with a cotton swab (or clean fingers) dipped into baby oil...it is soothing and does not pull...that should help with the 'itchy', as to the 'fucking' - not sure what will help with that!!

that is my number-one question. why don't hospitals use painless tape? after my mastectomy, the ONLY thing that hurt was taking the tape off my ARM from the IV. and during chemo, the ONLY thing that hurt (after months of dreading the injection) was removing the the damn tape that keep the IV in. this is proof there is no god. hahahaha

Tamara: Since Friday, I've been working away at the leftover goo with rubbing alcohol. I don't know what adhesive they used, but the stuff is not coming off. I don't want to overdo it, because my skin has gone to hell since I've started chemo, and I can't take the bandage off for now, as it is meant to remain sterile... Ah, it's grand.

Holly: Haha, I laughed, and then I snorted. Pretty loud, too. I'm awesome like that. Baby oil. I never would have thought of that.

Deborah: I'm missing a patch of arm hair on my left wrist after round 2 of chemo, still. That's 4 weeks gone now. Not impressed at all.

hmmm.... kinda like waxing... I wonder if they offer medical tape hair removal as a service!

Nick: It's a fringe benefit.
